Another Pretty Well day

I got too distracted and didn’t write anything yesterday. But what I do remember about it was that it went pretty well.
Today was pretty awesome. It went by pretty quickly. I was still a bit sick. I finally bought some cold medicine, and it’s helping a little bit. I can’t really remember any particular thing that made it awesome, because I was sick and really out of it most of the day. I do remember that it was awesome today. We ended up only having two new Elders in our room. The MTC had miscalculated, and there was one extra Elder than they had thought. So there are six in one room and the other two in here. Everything will go smoothly, I think. I just wish I could get over this dang cold. My nose is raw.
Oh yeah, Elder G bleached his hair. I tried it also, but it didn’t turn out.
Today went alright! My prayer that my sore throat would go away was answered. It went away, straight to my nose and head. I’ve got so much mucus in my head it feels like it will explode. But my throat doesn’t hurt.
We had TRC again today. It was pretty awesome, considering Elder R and I both felt sick. Our first one was an older lady. We were doing a follow up visit, after the first discussion. We were playing the new missionaries in the area. the first one, the older lady, was kind of tough. We didn’t really get all of her concerns out so that we could help her resolve them. We did alright, though.
The second one was awesome. We had decided to work on finding and resolving concerns. The second was a younger lady, supposedly she had a 15 year old kid. Well anyhow, the second went a lot smoother. We almost didn’t find out her concern. We were going to read a chapter when she said she had a question. But then she said to go ahead and read. Elder R, great guy, said we would much rather talk about her question.
Her concern was why Isaiah was put so much in the Book of Mormon. Not really a big concern, but fun to talk about. With a few good find out questions, we found out that she had read the whole Book of Mormon in one week. It was amazing. I think we pretty much resolved her concern, we could have don better. Thinking back, we should have asked her if what we talked about helped her solve her concern. I think it worked out OK. She was an awesome “golden” investigator.
I missed the Fireside tonight. It was probably the best one ever. Elder G stayed with me.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot. We had splits today. We taught and were taught the second discussion auf Deutsch. it was really awesome, especially when we were teaching. It was Elders R, G and I teaching Elders W and J. Elder W shared some awesome feelings. It was really neat.
Also cool for today, Elder G got his box of cookies. Not as big as the first one was, but still cookies.
Today went pretty well. Pretty much a normal day.
Today was fast Sunday. Quite a bit of things occurred today, none really all that important. One thing potentially dangerous was the news that three Elders will be moving in with Elders R, G, and me. That means I’m down to one bed, one closet, and no room. I think it sucks! At least it’s only for a week. There is only 10 days left until I get to the real mission part. I’m kind of ready, but I can’t wait to go.
I’m happy with myself today. I set a goal that I would memorize at least half of the second Hauptgedanke (principle of the discussions) today. And I did! I figured I need to memorize four paragraphs a day to be able to have the whole first discussion memorized before I leave. Realistically, I don’t think I can do that. I at least want to get to the fourth Hauptgedanke.
I’m not speaking as much German as I should. Especially on Sundays and P-Days. Back to the Hauptgedanke, though, I’m so mad that I didn’t start memorizing the discussion from the first day. That will be another goal for me to do, to tell everyone I know that is going on a mission, to start memorizing the discussions. First in English if they are not here at the MTC, or if they are then to start memorizing it in their language. I wish I would have. So much for wishing, it’s the doing that gets things done.
Today was an awesome day. I stayed with Elder G in the morning, and I slept the whole time. Bro. J’s class was kind of dumb. I like him and all, it’s just that E. J and K are always getting Bro. J off on tangents. The tangents are things that are good to know, but we didn’t do much of what we were supposed to. The first hour of class was tangent time and a bit of the second half of class. All in all it’s alright.
I finally saw Joe M at dinner. We talked for a while.
The whole day was just cool. Elder R and I had a lot of fun. He taught 1.4 and 1.5 of the discussions to me auf Deutsch. It was awesome, I even felt the Spirit. We’ve decided to wear one tie until we leave. I bought an awesome tie that has a bunch of flags on it. He and I are the only ones that like it, so he’s going to buy one and we’re both going to wear our ties for the rest of the time we’re here. It’ll be cool. Well, that’s all for now. Bis spater.
Today went by as any normal P-day. My Mitarbeiter (companion) and I woke up and put our laundry in at 6:15, then came back and did service. After service we finished our laundry and got ready to go to the temple. I had a neat session. I think it was because i was able to stay awake and alert. After the temple E. R and I got our discussions bound and I bought some stickers and colored pencils for C for her birthday. After all that we came back home and I tried to write letters. I wrote one to the family, T, KM, S, B, T, J, C and R. It took me forever. I’m not a quick letter writer. I told K to tell all the girls to write me and quick because my Mitarbeiter wants to see how many letters I can get from chicks. I doubt I’ll even get one from K. That would make my day. It’s weird about her. Since B started hanging around with MV people and I didn’t (don’t) see her all that much the past year, my feelings about her switched over to K. It’s dumb of me to even think like that. I don’t even want to, I want to study on the work.
Well, enough feelings. The thing I liked most about heute (today) was Sportstunde. I played Frisbee with Elders G and V. It was awesome. I did a lot of running, jumping and diving. My goal for that time was to catch a Frisbee in the air while I was diving. And I did it! The other trick I wanted to do was bounce the Frisbee off my head and catch it. I did that too! All in all it was a fantastic Sportstunde and a terrific day. Best of all, when I dove for a catch, I missed and rolled through muddy water.
Heute war ein gute Tag. Der Wetter war sehr komisch. Ein minuten es war Sonne scheinn, und dann, die nexte minute es war Hageling. What I mean to say, is that the weather was weird today. First was a nice sun shinny day. Then all of a sudden clouds poured in, and it started hailing, big ones, the size of marbles. That only lasted for about five minutes. That was the mid-day class. During the evening class the weather got all cloudy again and it down poured for a few minutes, then turned all sunny again. But just for a few minutes, because then it was night time, and darkness fell.
The day went fine for me. I didn’t speak as much German as I would have like to. I really need to work on it. It’s just frustrating, because I don’t know how to say everything that I want to, and nobody else really seems to try that hard. Oh well. Bis spater.
We finally had a Sportstunde.
The terrible German says: Elders G and R played frisbee with me. I also bought three pictures. One of Jesus Christ with children, one of just Jesus Christ, and one with Moroni burying the Golden Plates. There is nothing else to write about. All of the days are the same. I must read scriptures.
The fireside was good. The rest of the day was good also.
